Hi! My name is Kaylin Mckenzie and I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern who is passionate about working together with clients to help them overcome life’s challenges and foster a fulfilling life. I aim to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel comfortable whether it is your first time in therapy or you are returning to therapy. I will create an empathetic space that is yours to feel seen and understood.
I work with clients in a variety of areas, depending on what your needs are. I enjoy working with clients to build skills to be able to cope with all of life’s challenges and transitions, and become resilient to anything life throws at them. Through our time together you will be able to heal from past wounds and find hope, confidence, strength, and meaning in your life. You will feel empowered to make change in your life. I will help you foster healthier, more fulfilling relationships with yourself and others in your life. If you feel like you have been stuck living in survival mode, we will work together so that you can thrive and live a fulfilling life!
I am a Florida native raised in West Palm Beach, FL and its surrounding areas. I attended the University of Central Florida in Orlando where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Human Services. I received my Master’s degree from UCF as well in Counselor Education, Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
My therapeutic approach utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy in order to build skills in coping, emotional regulation, and other areas. I utilize an integrative approach of Narrative and Existential therapy in order for clients to process their past experiences, let go of what is weighing them down, find meaning in their lives, and build the life they want to live.
