Giavonna Marino is a graduate student pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University and is currently in her internship semester. She has always been passionate about helping and serving others, wearing compassion and empathy on her sleeve. Giavonna views counseling as her God-given calling and is committed to stewarding her purpose with care and dedication.
Eager to work with a wide range of clients and populations, Giavonna is using her internship to gain experience before selecting a specialization. She is particularly drawn to trauma therapy and plans to become certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) after graduation.
Giavonna incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in her counseling sessions and believes in taking a holistic approach to mental health. She views the therapeutic relationship as the cornerstone of effective counseling and strives to create a safe, nurturing space for each client. Giavonna’s passion for faith-based counseling reflects her deep commitment to integrating empathy, understanding, and hope into her work.
