Maybe you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or like you’re constantly carrying something heavy that others can’t see. You might find yourself stuck in old patterns—overthinking, shutting down, people-pleasing, or lashing out—without fully understanding why. There may be moments when you question your worth, struggle to trust yourself or others, or feel like you’re just going through the motions. Communication can feel strained, vulnerability might feel unsafe, and conflict—whether loud or silent—can leave you feeling alone even when you’re not. You’re here because something deep inside is asking for attention, healing, and change—and you’re ready to stop just surviving and start living more fully and authentically.

You want to feel more grounded in yourself—calmer, clearer, and more confident in who you are. You want to trust your emotions instead of fearing them, break free from old patterns, and create healthier boundaries. In your relationships, you long to feel more connected, seen, and secure.

Hi there! My name is Mila James, and I am a Registered Mental Health Intern.

As a marriage and family therapist, I work through a systemic lens, which means I see you not just as an individual, but as someone shaped by your relationships, your environment, your culture, and your past. Whether we’re working one-on-one, in couples therapy, in family therapy, or in a group setting, I tailor therapy to help you recognize the patterns that keep you stuck—and the strengths you already hold to create change.

I integrate evidence-based approaches like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help you better regulate emotions, shift harmful thought patterns, reconnect with your values, and build secure and meaningful relationships.

My work is grounded in trauma-informed care, honoring the impact of past experiences while helping you move forward with greater self-awareness and compassion. I am also committed to being culturally sensitive, recognizing and respecting the ways identity, culture, and systemic issues shape your experience. Together, we’ll create a space that’s safe, empowering, and focused on healing and growth—so you can move toward the life and relationships you deeply want. Don’t   give us a call today!
