Hi there, I’m Rachel! I am a license-eligible Marriage and Family and Mental Health Counselor with specific training in family and couples counseling. I utilize Emotionally-Focused, narrative, and humanistic therapeutic approaches to help facilitate change and growth of the whole person. I believe that, as complex, multifaceted humans, it’s important to address problems holistically in order to find lasting healing.

I’m native to the area, born and raised in North Palm Beach. I attended Florida State University before completing my Masters and Specialists degrees in Marriage and Family and Mental Health Counseling at the University of Florida (Go Noles, though!). Now that I’m back in the area, I am excited to provide support to the community I have called home my whole life.

As you could probably guess, I have a passion for helping people. I have worked closely with families, couples, and individuals of all ages and backgrounds. I have a particular love for working with families and couples, as I firmly believe that changing the world begins at home. It is such an honor to walk alongside couples and families as they learn how to love and respect one another in new ways.

I also work with individuals from all walks of life, many of whom deal with varying levels of trauma. My clients are the bravest and most inspiring people I know. It says so much about their character that they continue to persevere and fight for the life they want. There is the expression “Hurt people hurt people.” I know this to be true. I also know that “healed people heal people.” I would love to walk alongside you as you push through the mess and construct the life you desire.

Connection, intentionality, integrity, and love are my all-time favorite words, and I strive to incorporate them into every area of my life. When I’m not counseling, you can find me roadtripping with my husband and dogs, snuggling up with a good book, and drinking coffee. I also love tracking down live music and capturing life’s moments through photography.

I recently sat down with our Practice Manager, Mike, to discuss the therapeutic process and how we can honor our feelings. You can read those reflections here.
